What do you do when the compressed powder pellets and powder sticks that you're using don't shoot well in your muzzleloader? The unbelievable accuracy that you have read about just isn't there? Spend another $400 for a new muzzleloader? Here's an idea. Why not start or go back to using granular muzzleload powder and let "Powder Pack Pro" or "Powder Pack Supreme" do the ram-rod packing for you? See HOME page for more info.

Facts:

Every year many thousands of muzzleload shooters get tricked into believing that excellent muzzleload accuracy just happens. Excellent muzzleload accuracy "Does Not" just happen. It has to be produced--- by you. Lets look at what it takes and see how easy it is to produce excellent muzzleload accuracy.

1. GOOD to excellent marksmanship skills. This is produced by shooting as much as possible and always useing a rest when available.

2. CONSISTENT muzzleload ramrod packing pressure for all shots. This is produced by using "Powder Pack Pro" or "Powder Pack Supreme". Both contain a unique compression system that eliminates human error and tells you when to STOP pushing down on the ramrod when compressing the load. Consistent ramrod packing pressure with each shot is what produces accuracy. Also, "Powder Pack Pro" and "Powder Pack Supreme" do not have to be adjusted when changing sabot/bullet or powder charge load combinations.

3. ADJUSTMENT of the muzzleload powder charge load to what the sabotted bullet, patched round ball or other type of muzzleload projectile likes. This is produced by using granular muzzleload powder and a fully adjustable muzzleload powder measure preferably with a sliding funnel top. Adjusting the muzzleload powder charge load and consistent ramrod packing pressure is extremely important for decreasing your muzzleload bullet group size.

4. CLEAN muzzleload barrels shoot more accurately than dirty barrels especially when using muzzleload sabots with pistol and rifle bullets. The instruction insert that comes inside each bag of Sabots purchased from MMP states, quote, "Clean the bore after each shot. A fouled bore can produce irratic accuracy and will cause a tightening in the fit of the projectile...". By the way, MMP produces just about all the sabots we shoot. Also, in hunting situations, you do not have to clean the barrel after each shot because you will probably only be shooting one or two shots with the first shot being with a clean barrel. Even a third shot without cleaning will more than likely shoot OK.

5. HOT and CONSISTENT powder ignition with all muzzleloaders is highly desirable.

Now you know the "Secret" to producing excellent accuracy with your muzzleloader. It's just that simple. Denying or not following all of the above basics will probably keep the muzzleload shooter from achieving the best possible accuracy from their muzzleloading firearm. Order "Powder Pack Pro" or Powder Pack Supreme" today and have the excellent accuracy that you have always wanted. Both are guarenteed with a 100% money back refund.

Facts: Other

Mag-Spark, a 209 Shot Shell Primer Adapter that replaces the standard #11 cap nipple on side-hammer muzzleloaders, produces the same hot and consistent muzzleload powder ignition as the modern in-line muzzleload rifles. The Vari-Flame small rifle primer adapter can also be used with the Mag-Spark.

Side-hammer muzzleload rifles with barrel twists of 1 turn in 66 inches and 1 turn in 48 inches will also produce 1 and 2 inch groups at 100 yards using muzzleload sabots with pistol and rifle bullets weighing up to 240 grains. Heavier bullets like a faster twist muzzleload rifle barrel.

There are "NO FAST" second shots when shooting a single barrel muzzleload rifle. Don't miss with the first shot.

Since bullets travel in straight lines, a 5 inch group at 50 yards will automatically become a 10 inch group or larger at 100 yards. Always try to shoot your muzzleloader at the 100 yard distance when adjusting the powder charge load when reducing the bullet group size. Sabotted bullets and other muzzleload projectiles will shoot good at 50 yards even with the wrong sabot/bullet and powder charge combination. Don't assume that just because it shoots good at 50 yards, it will automatically shoot good at 100 yards because most of the time it won't.

CONFUSION:

Before we become Un-Confused, it's very important that we understand paragraphs #1 thru #5 on the Home page of this website. We need to remember that, what the magazines and writers "Don't" say can be just as important or more important than what they "Do" say.

Important muzzleload facts kept secret.

1. Ramrod packing pressure produces power(FPS). Palm Savers, T-Rods and Power Rods produce power but "Do Not" produce accuracy.

2. "Consistent" Ramrod Packing Pressure and adjusting the muzzleload powder charge load to what the muzzleload projectile, patched round ball or sabotted bullet likes is what produces excellent muzzleload accuracy. Powder Pack Pro and Powder Pack Supreme produce very consistent ramrod packing pressure and power.

3. Marking the muzzleloader ramrod for different powder charge loads with muzzleloader projectiles, patch round balls and sabot/bullet combinations is extremely confusing because 999 out of 1000 muzzleloader shooters can not remember what each mark (load combination) represents. Besides, compressing each different load to each different load line is basically impossible to do. You "WILL" make a mistake and pack to the "WRONG" load line.

4. Compressed muzzleloader powder pellets and muzzleloader powder sticks cost more than 2 times as much as granular muzzleload powder. Also, compressed muzzleload powder pellets and sticks do not weigh the same amount and therefore each shot is using a different powder charge weight which equals inconsistent muzzleloader powder charge loads which equals inconsistent accuracy.

5. When we talk about "Adjusting the Powder Charge Load" to what the muzzleload projectile, patched round ball or sabotted bullet likes, we mean changing the powder charge load by maybe 15 grs to maybe 25 grs to get a 5" group or smaller at 100 yards. If you already have a 5" group or less, then we adjust the load in much smaller amounts (lets say 3grs to 9grs) to get that 2" group or less at 100 yards. This process "Cannot" be done with precompressed muzzleload powder pellets or powder sticks. Powder pellets are available in 60 grs, 50 grs and 30 grs which means that they Cannot" produce a powder charge load that ends in anything but a "0". Example, 80grs, 90grs. 100grs, 110grs, 120grs etc. Only granular muzzleload powder is fully adjustable. Or, you could go and spend some more money on some different muzzleload bullets to mix and match with your powder pellets and sticks and hope that they will shoot better than the other ones you tried.

6. The famous "CRUDD RING". How many muzzleloader shooters have you heard that sound very impressive by talking about and explaining the "CRUDD RING" in terms only a scientist can understand? Well--- way to many. In plain English, the "CRUDD RING" is simply a "DIRT RING" that is made up of burnt and unburnt powder residue that forms where the muzzleload powder charge meets the muzzleload projectile, patched round ball or sabotted bullet during the powder charge ignition process. GEE-WIZZ-- a "DIRT RING". That seems rather easy to fix. When shooting at the range, run a 20 ga "BRONZE" shotgun brush (NO STEEL or NYLON BRUSHES) down the muzzleloader rifle barrel after each shot. Push the brush down the barrel until it "GENTLY" touches the breech plug, spin it around a few times and then remove it from the barrel. This process can be repeated a couple of times. With inline muzzleloaders,be careful not to damage the end of the breech plug with the end of the brush. Then, turn the the rifle upside down so that the "DIRT RING" ("CRUDD RING") that you just broke apart can fall out of the barrel. Now continue with the cleaning process. You will actually notice that not a whole lot of "DIRT" (CRUDD RING) falls out of the barrel when brushed after each shot. Problem solved.

7. A New Scope and/or sights will "NOT" reduce the muzzleload bullet group size. The only way to reduce muzzleloader bullet group size is to change the muzzleload powder charge load to what the muzzleload projectile, patched round ball or sabotted bullet likes along with consistent ramrod packing pressure.

8. Muzzleload Sabots "Love" a clean barrel and "Hate" a dirty barrel. That's as simple as it gets. Also, muzzleload sabots "Do Not" need to be lubricated because this will produce inconsistent accuracy.

9. Powder Pack Pro and Powder Pack Supreme produce very accurate results when shooting granular muzzleload powder and as always, both carry a complete money back guarentee.
